American Motel

Posting review based on hotel class, so i am comparing it to other like hotels. This is also an extended stay hotel so they do have weekly rates. Check in was fast and smooth. The room was clean. Did have a little stickiness on the floor in a few spots but the bedding smelled clean. Beds are firm, so that's a plus or minus depending on your preference. The bathroom in my room had recently been remodeled so it and the room were in good repair. It is close to the interstate so you'll have some noise. One thing I'd like to see different is to have something done with the shades so they can fully be closed. I could still see people walk by and had a light shining in my eye if I slept in a certain spot. I would stay here again and would recommend if you're looking for a cheap clean place to lay your head.

This was an awesome place The beds were awesome The rooms were nice and big this they were clean they smelt good they didn't give us a hassle over our sports dogs The staff that check to see in and the staff this morning when we got ready to leave was awesome I highly recommend this

Other than the air not blowing cold and not have that many channels everything was OK.

This is an old motel that is a work in progress. The parts that have been refurbished look nice, but the outdoor stairs look like they are ready to fall apart. I was quite put off by the bulletproof glass barrier to the office. It made me feel as if this was an unsafe place to stay, but my one night stay was uneventful. Traffic noise from the freeway was quite loud, so bring your earplugs. If I could give the staff 5 stars I would. They are very nice, friendly and seem to really care about your stay. The rooms are basic and clean. Water pressure is great, even if the shower head was not the best. My only complaint is that there were no outlets next to the beds, so I had to sleep “upside down” in order to use my CPAP. I wavered between 3 and 4 stars... the staff being the deciding factor. For the price, you get a clean basic room and although I probably won’t stay here again, it’s a good choice if you are on a tight budget.

It was clean, quiet, staff at front desk were very friendly.

I’ve stayed here for three weeks now with no complaints at all, and usually the two workers handling the food are both very nice. I’m a paying customer, and have been told it is okay to bring juice up to the room from the breakfast area. When I was bringing some cups of juice for my two year old, the lady who works breakfast for the weekends began to say I was ruining her day & raised her voice. I didn’t break any of the rules, and paying $1,100 a month here, I believe that I should be able to bring juice up for my child. Otherwise, it’s been very customer service friendly, nice little pool, and wonderful experience overall.

Might not look appeasing from the highway. But it is what it is and you get what you get. I’ve gotten worse for more. Might not recommend a weekly stay but for one night off the highway couldn’t beat it booked online. No deposit parking was Apple.

Honestly was kind of spooked after reading reviews. But overall I was pleasantly surprised. Stayed the night so my co hearts in crime and I would be close to the Renaissance festival so we'd have more time there due to living an hour away. Don't know about the rest of the rooms but at least 2201 was pretty clean and no signs of crawly critters. The cable wire for the TV wasn't working so that was slightly sad. Other than that good experience.

I am pleasantly surprised. Staff were super friendly and accommodated our needs of a non-smoking room. Bathrooms are very clean, by far one of the cleanest I have seen in a while. The one thing I have to say about the rooms is that our original one smelled like smoke and the sheet style just seems outdated. Rooms have a fridge and microwave, which was a huge positive. The lobby is super nice too. There are lots of smokers outside, however. Overall, I am very happy with my stay and will come back again should I travel through Kansas City again.

The woman that runs this place i will call K. She is Professional to a fault. Her work ethic reminds me of my mother. Her front desk staff are second to none ! Kind polite cordial and incredibly patient. There are vending machines and coffee anytime of the day. I am a live in truck driver and can tell you the cleaning staff supervisor and her girls are incredible. These people are make the motel outstanding. I leave my door open quite often as 8 have an outside room. Never had any problem. Dont let some of these reviews fool you. Its price is far below what K could be charging !
